How I see the future mobile market

When you have been in the mobile business as long as I have (since 1993) and you make a living by helping market players with advice on how to sell more goods and services, faster and with fewer costs, it is only natural that one has some expectations on how the future will be in the mobile universe.

My expectations come from all the information and impressions that I and my employees collect, the dialogue I have with market players and all the information I acquire when I travel round the world speaking at conferences and holding workshops for our customers.

This combination of knowledge, relationships and experience, means that I can consistently revise my views on the future and thereby help our customers achieve success in the short, medium and long-term.

My thoughts and ideas about the future are also expressed in the many reports that Strand Consult publishes and also in my predictions that I publish at the end of every year and that have become a fixed element in the Christmas greetings that Strand Consult sends out to our customers and friends.

You can read my predictions from the last 17 years as well as for 2020 here:

When you read through my predictions, do yourself two favours – assess how many of our predictions were correct and have actually happened in the industry and then ask yourself how many other people that try to predict what will happen in the coming year dare publish their predictions from the past 18 years!

I believe you should not judge the fortune-teller on his views about the future – but instead about what he previously said would happen today!
